Fido Mobile Referral Program

If you want to open a new Fido Mobile post-paid phone plan, you can use your friend's Fido referral link. Then both people can earn a referral credit equivalent to the monthly service fee of mobile plan (minus any applicable credit or promotional discount, if any) after the Referee has been an eligible Fido mobile customer for 30 days.  If you cannot find one from your friends, please contact us (canadianrewards@gmail.com) Thanks.

After you click the referral link, you need to:

• Submit your name and email through the referral link before activating with Fido 
• Activate a new Fido mobile number with an eligible postpaid plan and submit the new Fido mobile number at fido.ca/refer within 45 days of unlocking their offer.

Fido mobile customers and any Referees who have activated prior to having been referred or having unlocked their Fido Refer A Friend offer are not eligible.

Fido Tablet Data Only Plan

You can get Fido Tablet Data Only Plan at $15 for 4GB per month if you are one of the Fido postpaid wireless customers (with a Fido Talk, Text and Data Plan) now. You can get it from Fido Store or by calling Fido support anywhere in Canada. You don't need to buy a tablet from Fido. But if you need a tablet, you can consider the Samsung Tab A, which is Free with a 2-year data plan.

Note: A one-time Transaction Fee applies for the processing of your service request. This is a great deal. I have been on this service since August 2016 (only 3GB per month) and I am very satisfied with it.

Important changes about Rogers/Fido MasterCard

Starting May 23, 2018, the following changes will automatically apply to the Rogers Platinum Mastercard and the Fido Mastercard.

So, Rogers MC will be the same as Fido MasterCard. Their cash back will drop to 1.25% for normal purchases, and actual cash back on foreign purchase will drop from 1.5% to 0.5%.

Fido: 5GB data for $50/month

Currently Fido is providing a $50/month plan (with 5GB data and unlimited Canada-wide minutes) to their old customers (>3 months).

With this $50/month plan, you can get:

Fido MasterCard Introduction

Rogers Bank is offering a new MasterCard, Fido MasterCard. It is no annual fee. You can earn 4% unlimited "cash back" rewards on all purchases in a foreign currency – from international websites to anywhere you travel abroad plus 1.5% unlimited cash back rewards on all purchases in Canadian dollars.

You can redeem your cash back rewards towards Fido goodies like:

• a new phone
• your monthly bill
• accessories
• online purchases in fido.ca

You can also get up to $50 in cash back rewards as a welcome bonus: $25 on your first purchase. Plus $25 when you register your Fido bill for pre-authorized payments.

BTW, there is also some changes on Rogers Platinum MasterCard. Starting August 17 you will earn 4% cash back rewards on all your purchases made in a foreign currency – whether your purchase is made online or while travelling overseas. Sounds pretty good, right? BUT, starting October 19, 2016, the Rogers Platinum MasterCard will charge a 2.5% foreign currency transaction fee. So, the actual return for Rogers Platinum MasterCard on foreign currency purchases will decrease from 1.75% to 1.5% after Oct 19.

Fido: 1GB/2GB Data for free for 12 Months (Targeted)

【Information provided by Lucas】Now, you can call Fido to add an additional data package (1GB) and you may get it FREE for your account for 1 year. This offer is targeted. Some one got 500MB, and some one got 2GB. All you need to do is to dial "611" from your mobile phone.

Fido is adding 1GB bonus data for Black Friday until Nov. 30. If you live in Quebec, you can get unlimited minutes + unlimited messages + 2 GB data. What a wonderful price. So far, for new customers, but you might be able to switch to the new plan if you're an existing Fido customers.
