RIP: Chase Marriott/Amazon Visa
The credit card relationship between Canada JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. and Amazon.ca is ending and Chase will be closing the Marriott/Amazon Visa Card program as of March 15, 2018.
Any outstanding points earned as of that date will be transferred to the Marriott account and the card will stop working. Any earned Amazon points as a statement credit as of March 15 as well and the account will be closed.
BTW, even though some people's anniversaries may be after Mar 15, all Chase Canada Marriott credit card holders will receive their free night certificates as well as the elite nights for having the credit card to go toward their respective statuses around 14th of March. So, I suggest the Chase Marriott card holders should keep this card until it is closed by Chase. And you should also get the pro-rated annual fee rebates from Chase as well.
RIP...

Chase Amazon.ca Rewards Visa Card is no longer available
Deal Link: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201516220
As of Apr 3, 2017, Chase is no longer accepting new applications for the Amazon.ca Rewards Visa Card. You cannot find the application button on the Chase.ca website. This is really a bad news, as it may lead to the end of Chase.can and the end of non foreign transaction fee credit cards.

Updates on AmEx SPG and Chase Marriott Visa
A really good news for Canadian AmEx SPG cardholders. You can earn 2 Starpoints for every dollar of eligible purchases charged to the Card at participating SPG & Marriott Rewards hotels from November 15, 2016 through November 15, 2017. You can still earn 1 Starpoint for every $1 in all other purchases charged to the Card.
At the same time, Chase Marriott Visa cardholders can also enjoy the similar benefits. Beginning on December 1, 2016, use your Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Credit Card, you can earn five Marriott Rewards points for dollar spent at participating SPG hotels, just like you do at participating Marriott hotels.
I have both cards, and I will use AmEx SPG in Canada and use Chase Marriott Visa outside of Canada.

Scotiabank to Acquire JPMorgan Chase Credit Card Portfolio in Canada
Deal Link: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/scotiabank-to-buy-jpmorgans-canadian-credit-card-portfolio/article26821243/
From the news: Scotiabank and JPMorgan Chase announced today that the two companies have reached an agreement under which Scotiabank will acquire a MasterCard and private label credit card portfolio and the related credit card operations from JPMorgan Chase.
The credit card portfolio includes approximately $1.7 Billion in receivables and 2 million well-performing active customer accounts. The agreement also includes the acquisition of JPMorgan Chase's credit card operations in Canada. These operations include a highly-skilled bilingual call centre in Ottawa with fraud, collections, recovery and customer service expertise.
The JPMorgan Chase credit card portfolio being acquired is a MasterCard and private label credit card portfolio, currently associated with Sears Canada Inc. As previously communicated by JPMorgan Chase, the agreement with Sears Canada comes to an end on November 15, 2015. Scotiabank is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all customer.
Upon closing of the transaction, Scotiabank will become the first bank in Canada to offer customers Visa, AMEX and now, MasterCard credit cards.
Just want to know, what will happen to Chase Canada? As after this, Chase Canada will only have 2 credit cards (Amazon Visa and Marriott Visa). Will Chase Canada sell them to some other Canadian banks too?
