Air Canada New Partner: Eurowings Discover

Starting Jul 27, 2021, Eurowings Discover (4Y) will be officially added to Air Canada growing, and world’s largest roster, of more than 40 airline travel partners. Eurowings Discover will offer a premium leisure experience with lie-flat business class seating, a premium economy cabin, as well as full meal service in all classes.

Eurowings Discover is the new leisure carrier of the Lufthansa Group with operating bases in Frankfurt and Munich, Germany. It serves several international destinations in Africa, North America, the Indian Ocean, and the Caribbean. Until the end of 2021, Eurowings Discover will expand its network to medium haul destinations in Europe and northern Africa, as well.

This new FFP expands Aeroplan’s presence and gives members more choice when it comes to airline options to popular leisure destinations in Africa and additional inter-continental routes. Please find above the Aeroplan accrual chart for flights operated by Eurowings Discover. Note that:

  • Members can earn Aeroplan points based on distance flown on all scheduled flights operated by 4Y.
  • Members can earn Status Qualifying Miles (SQM) and Status Qualifying Segments (SQS), as well as Status Qualifying Dollars (SQD) on flights ticketed by Air Canada.

In terms of Aeroplan Flight Rewards on Eurowings Discover flights, please note the following:

  • 4Y flights will be priced based on Aeroplan’s pricing for partner airlines.
  • Members will be able to book 4Y flights online at aircanada.com, through the Air Canada mobile app, or via Aeroplan’s Contact Centre.
  • 4Y flights can be combined with flights operated by Air Canada and our other international airline partners.
  • 4Y flights are eligible for redemption in Business and Economy classes.
  • The partner booking fee will apply for flight rewards which include travel on 4Y.

The addition of Eurowings Discover is our seventh new airline to join the program since June 2020, following Etihad, Azul, Vistara, Air Serbia, Virgin Australia, and Air Dolomiti.
