Air Canada: Making eUpgrades easier

Air Canada is improving eUpgrades to make it easier than ever for you and your travel companions to enjoy the comforts of our premium cabins. Here’s what you can look forward to:

1) Request your eUpgrade any time prior to departure

Request your eUpgrade any time after you book – you no longer need to wait until your upgrade booking window opens. Beginning October 6, you can request your upgrade any time prior to check-in at aircanada.com or with Air Canada Reservations, and when seats are available, it will clear automatically within your upgrade clearance window. If you prefer, you’ll still have the option to request upgrades at check-in on the day of departure.

2) Simplified and improved eUpgrade requirements

Now, all Air Canada fare options are eligible for eUpgrades, with the exception of Economy Basic fares. Plus, you’ll be able to upgrade all Aeroplan flight rewards. We’ve further simplified our eUpgrade requirements across our network, and in many cases reduced the credits and add-ons required for an upgrade.

3) eUpgrades for your travel companions

The transformed Aeroplan is built for families, with all-new features like Family Sharing and Status Pass. We heard from many of you about how important it is to be able to share the experience of Business Class with your companions. Beginning November 8, when seats are available, upgrade requests for companions travelling on your reservation will clear with the priority of your Altitude status – including at the airport. This means they’ll be able to join you up front more often.
