The 10,000 Aeroplan points offer is available to Canadian residents that do not have an existing TD chequing account, that are the age of majority at time of account opening in their province or territory who:
- Have a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite* Card, TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege* Card, or TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum* Card (the TD Aeroplan Credit Card Account) that was opened before May 30, 2021 and is active and in good standing. If you don't have one of those credit card, you can open one now. The current credit card welcome bonus is pretty good too.
- Open a TD All-Inclusive Banking Plan or a TD Unlimited Chequing Account between January 18, 2021 and May 30, 2021 and keep the New Chequing Account open and in good standing for 90 days after account opening.
The following are not eligible for the 10,000 Aeroplan points offer:
- Customers who already have a TD chequing account or TD Youth Account or had either one of these accounts that was closed on or after January 18, 2021; or
- Customers who received any chequing account offer from TD in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021; or
- TD staff members or a joint account with a TD staff member.
From my point of view, the promotion requirement is easy. There is no requirement for payroll direct deposit or pre-authorized payment etc. And the 10000 Aeroplan points value is ~$180.
